March 12, 2026
Niagara-on-the-Lake – The Ontario government is welcoming the expansion of Air Canada Landline Service to Niagara District Airport beginning June 15, 2026. The new non-stop motorcoach service – integrated with the Air Canada flight network – will provide residents in Niagara with a direct connection to Toronto Pearson Airport.
“This is great news for both residents of Niagara and visitors to our region who are looking for convenient and seamless travel routes to our world class attractions and natural wonders,” said Sam Oosterhoff, MPP for Niagara West.
“The expansion of service aligns with our government’s Destination Niagara Strategy, the province’s plan to position the region as a world-renowned tourism destination to support local businesses, create good-paying jobs and protect Ontario’s economy.”
“By offering seamless access to some of Ontario’s most sought-after destinations, this extension strengthens regional connectivity while showcasing Ontario’s world-class tourism experiences,” said Hon. Stan Cho, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming.
“Expanded services to Niagara will bring people closer to the unforgettable, made-in-Ontario experiences that make our province a premier place to explore.”
The motorcoach service, operated by The Landline Company, offers a premium travel experience designed to complement airline travel. The service will operate three daily roundtrip departures, providing reliable connections between Niagara District Airport and Toronto Pearson Airport.
“This new service marks an important milestone for Niagara-on-the-Lake and the entire Niagara Region,” said Gary Zalepa, Lord Mayor of the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
“As the home of Niagara District Airport, we are proud to help strengthen connections between Niagara and Toronto Pearson Airport with Air Canada Landline Service, making travel more convenient for regional residents.”
“Air Canada is very pleased through its partnership with The Landline Company to offer customers in Niagara a convenient travel alternative,” said Ranbir Singh, Director of Regional Airlines and Markets at Air Canada.
“This new service connects Niagara residents to our global hub at Toronto Pearson Airport, linking them directly with almost anywhere in the world.”
“Niagara residents can now begin their Air Canada journey just minutes from home,” said Nicholas Johnson, Vice-President of Commercial at The Landline Company.
“With convenient parking, check-in, and bag tagging in Niagara, travelers can skip the drive to Toronto and relax on a seamless ride to Toronto Pearson Airport with fast, free onboard Wi-Fi, while earning Aeroplan points across their entire itinerary.”
The new motorcoach service will also provide an enhanced travel experience for tourists planning trips to Niagara. Travelers will be able to book flights from their departure cities directly to Niagara District Airport on Air Canada’s website. With a single ticket and a seamless travel experience, the expansion of service provides a reliable and comfortable non-stop connection for travellers to and from the region.
The expansion of service is a key part of the Destination Niagara Strategy, the province’s plan to position the region as a world-renowned tourism destination to support local businesses, create good-paying jobs and protect Ontario’s economy
