MPP Oosterhoff Hosts New Year’s Levée Events in Fonthill and Beamsville

January 10, 2026

Beamsville – Joined by community leaders, municipal representatives and local constituents, Sam Oosterhoff, MPP for Niagara West, welcomed the arrival of 2026 today with New Year’s Levée events at Branch 613 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Fonthill and Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery in Beamsville.

“New Year’s Levée events are a great opportunity to ring in the New Year together and for constituents to share their local priorities and concerns,” said MPP Oosterhoff.

“As MPP for Niagara West, I am committed to representing local issues and serving as the voice of Niagara at Queen’s Park – not the voice of Queen’s Park to Niagara.”

MPP Oosterhoff highlighted several provincial milestone moments for Niagara in 2025, including the launch of the Destination Niagara Strategy in December, grand opening of the new West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in November, hosting of the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo in September and announcement of historic funding for regional water water systems and irrigation infrastructure in August.

“In the face of American tariffs and global economic uncertainty, our government has a strong plan to protect Ontario and transform the province into the most competitive places to invest and do business in the G7,” said MPP Oosterhoff.
